Gagauz crafts, Beșalma

Wooden table, seats and gourds, Gagauz handicraft in the Gagauz National Museum of History and Ethnography in Beșalma, 19 kilometres south of Comrat. The ethnographic museum was founded in 1966 by Dmitry Karachoban, a local artist, poet and educator who dedicated a large part of his life to rediscovering the ethnographic and linguistic heritage of Gagauzia.
