Mihrab and minbar

The “mihrab”, the niche indicating the direction of Mecca, which Muslims should face when praying and the “minbar”, the pulpit where the imam (prayer leader) stands to deliver sermons in the 15th Century Xhamia e Mbretit, the “Imperial mosque”, also known as the Fatih Mosque or Xhamia e Madhe (“Big Mosque”) in the old city of Prishtina.
