Prishtina, Kosovo's Capital City

Brotherhood and Unity Monument

The Brotherhood and Unity Monument, also known as “Tre rremëshi” (three branches), erected in Prishtina in 1961, replacing part of the city’s old merchant quarter, the çarshia, which housed over 200 shops at its peak. It has now been refurbished and stands in Sheshi Adem Jashari, previously Trg Bratstva i Jedinstva. At right the Bazaar Mosque (Xhamia e Çarshisë) and at left the minaret of the Imperial mosque (Xhamia e Mbretit).
