Prishtina, Kosovo's Capital City

Town bus

A town bus in Prishtina, advertising the NATO KFOR (Kosovo Force), an international peacekeeping force keeping security after the war, that was fought when the Serbian army tried to expel ethnic Albanians from Kosovo; NATO intervention eventually led to Kosovo's independence. It reads, in Albanian: “KFOR: Providing a quiet and safe environment”.
