The Gazimestan monument

Monument Inscription

 Inscription on the Gazimestan monument, commemorating the Battle of Kosovo (June 1389); it reads: “15 June 1389 to the Prisoners of Freedom and Independence, People's Republic of Serbia 1953”. The monument was built in 1953 when this was a constituent republic of Yugoslavia.
