The Jongmyo Daeje Ceremony, Seoul

Ilmu dances

Performing Ilmu dances in the Jongmyo Jerye, the Royal ancestral rites, in Jongmyo, the Royal Shrine where the past kings and their queens of the Joseon Dynasty, are enshrined. Accompanied by solemn music and dancing, the confirmed formalities of the service have been preserved almost in their original forms more than 500 years since 1464.
