First Birthday display

Display of a Doljanchi or Dol (Tol) ceremony celebrating the first birthday of a child at the Andong Folklore Museum. In the old days, when child mortality was high, this was a great occasion. The child would be dressed in colourful clothing, food would be piled up and money given.
