Goryeongungji Palace

The Internal Governor's Office in Ganghwa-eup, reconstructed at the remains of Goryeongungji Palace, originally built in 1232, partially destroyed in 1636 during the Manchu invasion and completely destroyed in 1866 by French troops, who invaded Korea in response to the execution of nine French Catholic missionaries.
