Huwon, the Secret Garden

Huwon, the “Secret Garden” of Changdeokgung Palace, created during the reign of King Taejong, the third king of the Joseon dynasty who ruled from 1400 to 1418. Many pavillions were burned down during the Japanese invasion of 1592; restoration began in 1623 and continued until present.
