Eternal Rome, Italy’s capital

The Workers' Palace

An example of fascist architecture, the Palazzo della Civiltà del Lavoro (Palazzo della Civiltà Italiana), a square building with arched windows (Colosseo Quadrato, “the square Colosseum”) in EUR (Esposizione Universale di Roma), a satellite city built for an international exhibition in 1942, although it was never held because of the war. The building was designed by Giovanni Guerrini, Ernesto Lapadula and Mario Romano.
