Eternal Rome, Italy’s capital

Porta Portese

Porta Portese, the huge flea market that takes over Trastevere (meaning “beyond the Tiber”), on the west bank of the Tiber, south of Vatican City, every Sunday from 7am to 2pm and occupies both sides of the street for many blocks parallel to the Tiber. The vendors have a wide variety of goods, including lots of junk. Bargaining is essential.
