The tower and façade of the Duomo, the cathedral in the old city of Bari, dedicated to Saint Sabinus of Canosa (San Sabino) and built on the remains of a Byzantine cathedral that was begun in 1034, but destroyed in the sack of the city of 1156. The present Duomo was built between 1170 and 1178.
