Temple of Venus

The small circular temple dedicated to Venus stands, near a Greek theatre, on a portico on the north side of the hill, below the terrace in front of the libraries and apparently somewhat detached from the rest of Emperor Hadrian's Villa. A copy of the statue of “Aphrodite of Knidos” by Praxiteles stands in the centre of the sanctuary.
