Paphos, the south-west of Cyprus

Paphos Ethnographical Museum

A display of looms and handicraft in Paphos Ethnographical Museum, a private ethnographic museum belonging to the Eliades family. It is probably the richest and best private museum in Cyprus. It consists of the collection of the late George Eliades, an intellectual, interested in archaeology, history, folk art and literature. For over half a century he collected art treasures from the countryside of Cyprus, particularly from his native Paphos district.
