Nicosia, Capital of the Republic of Cyprus

Youth camp along the Venetian Walls

A youth camp, between the Podocattaro Bastion and the Caraffa Bastion (in the background) along the Venetian Walls, a series of defensive walls surrounding the capital city of Nicosia. The first city walls were built in the Middle Ages but wholly rebuilt in the mid-16th century by the Republic of Venice.
