Larnaca, on the south-east coast of Cyprus
View from Larnaca pier to Larnaca Castle, built in the Lusignan era and remodelled by the Ottomans around 1605. It was constructed to defend the southern coast of Cyprus and the harbour town of Larnaca. At right is the minaret of Djámi Kebír, the Grand Mosque.
