Larnaca, on the south-east coast of Cyprus
The richly decorated icon of St. Mary from the Church of Saint Lazarus, an autocephalous Greek Orthodox Church in Larnaca. It is named for the New Testament figure Lazarus who, it is claimed, Jesus raised from the dead. This church was built over the reputed (second) tomb of Lazarus, found here in 890.
