Aliko and Caher, Büyükkonuk

Aliko and Caher, two beloved characters in sketches, written for radio from in the Karpaz Turkish Cypriot dialect in Büyükkonuk (Komi Kebir), a village on the Karpas Peninsula, 33 kilometres north of Famagusta, and at an altitude of 90 metres. The sketches described everyday occurrences in Turkish Cypriot daily lives. It was performed up until 1972 and on stage until 1973.
