The Eastern Karpas Peninsula
The plundered iconostasis with the replacement of suspended icons of the Greek Orthodox church of Agios Thyrsos (Agios Therisos), on the north coast of the Karpas peninsula. It was built in the 16th or 17th century but plundered during the Cyprus Crisis. The church takes its name from St. Thyrsos, Bishop of Karpasia in the early Byzantine Period.
