Bayamo, where Cuba’s independence movement started
The Ventana de Luz Vázquez, a wood barred colonial window, with a plaque commemorating that a forerunner of the national anthem, co-written by Céspedes (and, confusingly, also called “La Bayamesa”) was first sung from here on 27 March 1851.
