Federal State of Croatia, 1944
Croatia was one of the founding members of Democratic Federal Yugoslavia, a democratic federation of six republics, in 1943. On 9 May 1944, the Federal State of Croatia was officially founded as one of its constituent members. Its flag was the red-white-blue Croatian tricolour with a red five-pointed star on the white stripe; its dimensions were also altered from 2:3 to 1:2.
