Silver Gate, Diocletian's Palace

The Silver Gate (Srebrna vrata), or “the Eastern gate”, is one of the four principal Roman gates into the stari grad (old town) of Split. It was once Diocletian’s Palace, built for the Roman emperor Diocletian at the turn of the fourth century CE, which forms about half the old town of Split.
