Presidential Standard of Botswana, 1966
The Presidential Standard of the Republic of Botswana, consists of a light blue field charged with a black-rimmed white circle containing the coat of arms of Botswana in the centre, with two zebras, holding an ivory tusk and an ear of sorghum, supporting a shield, featuring three cogwheels for industry, a bull's head for cattle rearing, blue waves representing water and, on a blue ribbon “Pula”, meaning “Rain”, a precious resource in the dry and arid country.
