Tashichho Dzong

Tashichho Dzong, a Buddhist monastery and fortress in the north of Thimphu. The original Thimphu Dzong (Do-Ngön Dzong, or Blue Stone Dzong) was built in 1216 but was destroyed four times by fire and damaged by an earthquake; however, it was rebuilt.
