Kingdom of Bhutan, 1953

The “Tshogdu”, the National Assembly, was established in 1953. The flag displayed on a photograph, probably dating much later, shows a flag divided diagonally from the upper hoist corner to the lower fly corner, with a more horizontal green dragon. It seems there was no standard design for the flag until 1969.
