The southeast of Western Australia

Warden's Court, Coolgardie

The Warden's Court in Coolgardie, once a thriving gold mining town. Gold was discovered here in 1892 and after a few years it was Western Australia's third largest town with 15,000 inhabitants. Its function was however soon taken over by nearby Kalgoorlie-Boulder.
