Along the Flinders Highway

Grand Hotel Hughenden

The Grand Hotel in Hughenden with a life-size model of “Mutt”, a replica of the Muttaburrasaurus Langdoni herbivore that roamed the shores of the inland sea where Hughenden now stands. It was unveiled on 4 December 1999 and later on brightly painted. The Grand Hotel, built in 1910 but disused since 2004, was destroyed by fire on 16 November 2018.
