Two men perform a ritual with a “kurdiji”, a wooden shield, painted with the “wallaby” dreaming design belonging to their clan and the song cycle followed during a “Jardiwanpa” ceremony by the Central Australian Warlpiri Aboriginal people in the Northern Territory. The same design, featuring wallaby tracks, is painted on their backs
