Aboriginal Ceremonies of Central Australia - Jardiwanpa

Dance with “kurdiji”

A man dances with a “kurdiji”, wooden shield painted with the dreaming design relevant to his clan during a “Jardiwanpa” ceremony in Lajamanu, a Warlpiri Aboriginal community in the Northern Territory. Women dance behind him with decorated “kuturu” fighting sticks.
