Alice Springs, the Centre of Australia
John Flynn's Grave Historical Reserve, the grave of John Flynn, the first superintendent of the Australian Inland Mission, providing health care to Aboriginal; people in remote places. In 1952, a year after his death, a large boulder was transported from a very sacred women's site in Karlu Karlu (Devils Marbles) to be his grave marker; in 1999 this was exchanged for a stone from a sacred Arrernte Caterpillar site, and the original one taken back.
