Aboriginal Dancing in the Northern Territory

Dancing “Purlapa”

Warlpiri men dance a “purlapa” traditional dance in Lajamanu. They are decorated with “wamurlu”, chopped plant fibres that may be coloured red with ochre or kept white. The headdresses are built up on their heads.
