Aboriginal Dancing in the Northern Territory

Headdress

Ready for a “Purlapa” a traditional dance from Central Australia. “Wamurlu”, a chopped vegetable down coloured with red ochre is glued on the body. The headdress is built up on the head with twigs and bound by string, made from human hair, topped with emu feathers.
