Aboriginal Dancing in the Northern Territory
Leading a group of boys in a “Purlapa” traditional dance in the school grounds of Lajamanu, a Warlpiri Aboriginal community. He is decorated with “wamurlu”, a chopped vegetable down coloured with red ochre and glued on the body. The headdress is built up on the head, topped with emu feathers.
