Sheshi Skënderbej

Tirana's main square, Sheshi Skënderbej (Skanderbeg Square), now fully pedestrian, with a parking garage underneath. At left a carrousel and the equestrian statue of Skanderbeg, Albania’s national hero, the Bank of Albania building and the dome of the new Orthodox Cathedral behind it. Towering over it is the unfinished Archea “4 Evergreen Tower”, designed by Archea Associati, an Italian company that won an international competition to construct ten towers to be built in the new Tirana city centre.
