Korça, Eastern Albania’s main city
The Mirahori Mosque, the most ancient building in Korça, lost its minaret and clock tower in a powerful earthquake on 21 May 1960. During the communist dictatorship, it was neglected and used as a warehouse. The mosque became operational again in January 1991, and the minaret was rebuilt in 2014. In 2018 a new entrance gate to the complex had been built.
