Provisional Government of Albania, 1912
Albanian chief Isa Boletin flew a red flag with the black double-headed eagle in 1910 when he rebelled against Turkey, In June 1911 it was raised in Prishtina (now in Kosovo) and a few weeks later it was flying all over Southern Albania as well. The Provisional Government of Albania, the first Government created by the Assembly of Vlora in 4 December 1912, adopted the flag, with the addition of a white six-pointed star, a symbol that Catholics, Orthodox and Muslims shared the same sky.
