The Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame and Outback Heritage Centre is "a tribute to the men and women who pioneered the outback".

The Australian Stockman's Hall of fame was formed from a conviction that there was a need to capture and record the fast disappearing culture and unique history of Australia"s pioneers.

A commitment was made to establish a monument to the people that created that history. It is a museum, gallery, entertainment facility, theatre and historical library where facts relating to the outback are preserved and illustrated for the education and entertainment of Australians and visitors to Australia.

To this end the Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame has become a Mecca for those making the pilgrimage journey to its unique location at Longreach, outback Queensland.

The Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame coordinates a variety of events during the year; these include Opera at the Hall on Easter Saturday, The Drover's Reunion and Outback Muster in May and The Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame Pro Rodeo and Longreach Diamond Sports Shears in July. An R.M. Williams Outback Stockmans Show is held daily from May to October. Shows are at 11am and 2pm. Cost is $5 Adult, $3.50 Concession, $2 Children/students, Children under 8 are free.

Opening Times / Admission Costs

The Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame is open seven days a week from 9am to 5pm except Christmas Day. Entry into the museum is:$22.50 Adults / $18.50 Concession / $12.00 Children/students / $50.00 Family / Children under 8 are free.
