Amir Temur monument

The bronze equestrian monument, in Amir Temur Square, to Amir Temur (Timur or Tamerlane), the outstanding commander and statesman of the 14th century, who founded the Timurid Empire, from the Mediterranean Sea to India. The plinth is engraved with Amir Temur’s famous motto, “Strength in Justice”, in Uzbek, Russian, English and Uzbek in Arabic script. The monument was designed by Ilkhom Jabbarov.
