Kokand, in the western Fergana Valley

Courtyard, Palace of Khudoyar Khan

Only two courtyards and 19 rooms survive from the original seven courtyards and 119 rooms, now housing the Kokand Regional Studies Museum, in the Palace of Khudayar Khan in Kokand (Qo‘qon) for the last ruler of the Kokand Khanate. Built between 1863 and 1874, it was one of the largest and most opulent palaces in Central Asia, known as the Pearl of Kokand.
