Khiva, a former Khanate

Pahlavan-Mahmud mausoleum

Tombs of Uzbek heroes from the time of the 2nd World War at the mausoleum of Khiva's patron Pahlavan-Mahmud (1247-1326). The beautiful Persian-style chamber under the turquoise dome at the north end of the courtyard holds the tomb of Mohammed Rakhim Khan.
