Khiva, a former Khanate

Sayid Alauddin Mausoleum

The 14th century Sayid Alauddin Mausoleum, the oldest surviving building of Khiva. It was built in honour of the great Sufi sheikh student and follower of Sheikh Syed Alauddin known mystic of the Naqshbandi Order Amir Kulaly in 1310 when Khiva was under the Golden Horde of the Mongol empire.
