Khorezm People's Soviet Republic, 1920

On 26 April 1920 the Khorezm People's Soviet Republic was declared as the successor state to the Khanate of Khiva and its flag initially seems to have been red with in a green canton a yellow crescent and star; some sources depict the crescent with its points upward, as in the later version. The proportions of this flag remained 2:3 and it was reported that this flag was confirmed in the constitution in 1921.
