The iNcwala or First Fruits Ceremony in 1970

Men and boys return

Young men and boys return in the early morning to the Royal village of Lobamba, with “lusekwane”, a species of acacia that will be used to cover the “inhlambelo” enclosure in the “sibaya”, the Royal cattle byre. They have marched for hours and collected the shrubs at night.
