Slavery history display, Peperpot

A display of the history of slavery in the museum of Peperpot, a former coffee plantation in the district Commewijne, on the right bank of the river Suriname, started between 1651 and 1660; in 1702 cultivation of cocoa was started and coffee around 1720.
