The Palaung or Ta'ang are a Mon-Khmer people who live in Shan State and in northern Thailand and China's Yunnan province. The Palaung State Liberation Party has an army, although they effectively surrendered in May 1991. Their flag is a green-white-green triband with an orange ball in the centre.
