Altain Magtaal, a song from the Altai region of western Mongolia, sung and played with accompaniment of three traditional instruments: the “Morin Khuur”, the horse-head fiddle, the “Yatga”, a traditional Mongolian plucked zither and a “Dombra”, a long-necked lute, (typical of the west and the Kazakh people) by the Erdene Zuu group from Kharkhorin. The man playing the “Dombra” also performs Khöömi or “throat singing”.
