Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia's Capital

Tank, Zaisan Memorial

The Soviet tank that belonged to the Mongolia People's Tank Brigade and saw action against the Nazis during the Second World War, is part of the Zaisan Memorial, built by the Soviets to commemorate “unknown soldiers and heroes” from various wars, in the south of Ulaanbaatar. The slogan in Mongolian and Russian reads “Long live the Friendship in battle between the Mongol and Soviet Peoples!"
