British Resident Commissioner, 1951

British Resident Commissioner, 1951

The flag of the Resident Commissioner in Basutoland was the British Union Flag charged in the centre, on a white roundel, a green shield of the arms granted to the Colony of Basutoland in 1951. It displays a crocodile and a sheep flanked by two bushels of grain, surrounded by a laurel garland. This flag was used until independence in 1966.
