The Serbian Monasteries

Gračanica monastery

Manastir Gračanica, a Serbian Orthodox monastery, was founded by the Serbian king Stefan Uroš II Milutin in 1321. It represents the culmination of the Serbian medieval art of building in the Byzantine tradition and is on UNESCO's World Heritage List under the name of Medieval Monuments in Kosovo.
