Bongdon beacon towers

The Bongdon beacon towers on the eastern Hwaseong fortress wall, Suwon. It is located in direct line with Haenggung so that the king could see its signals. Smokes and signal fires were used to indicate the state of threats. The southern most of its five chimneys was used during peacetime.
